I'll tell you why I recommend it anyway:
1. Eating smaller meals more frequently will keep you from entering a hangry state. No one likes hangry people.
2. It also keeps you from becoming sluggish. Less sluggishness = more brain and body activity overall = more calorie burn.
3. I believe it keeps you from inadvertently overeating at "traditional" meal times if we are to snack in between.
If you're counting your calories proceed with caution as, obviously, eating more frequently and not monitoring your intake could result in a calorie surplus resulting in weight gain.
